China Leads Class Action Lawsuit Against State of Florida

Fiction today may foreshadow reality tomorrow...

In a statement released by the Chinese government, the State of Florida is being sued for 300 billion dollars in damages and in excess of one trillion dollars in punitive damages. The lawsuit, brought by a Chinese led coalition of countries including China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and others alleges that the state of Florida knowingly participated in and encouraged the export of tobacco products to foreign countries. The claim sites the Florida legal team responsible for pursuing and accepting a damage award against the American tobacco industry. Chinese Vise Minister of Tobacco Quality accused the Florida legal team of "knowingly accepting an award in excess of 200 billion dollars with full knowledge that such an award could only be paid by the export of known carcinogens for consumption by foreign nationals." The Vise Minister went on to say that "Florida is just the first state we plan to sue, we're going after others once we have achieved success in Florida."
